Homelessness COVID-19 vaccination access & gaps

The UWA Coronavax Community Study is a research initiative which aims to explore and understand Western Australian’s attitudes and concerns towards COVID-19 vaccination. This project is a joint initiative of The University of Western Australia, VaxPol Lab, and the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases, based at Telethon Kids Institute. Our team’s work specifically contributes to the Vulnerable Populations Group Sub-study, and focusses on those with lived experience of homelessness, as well as service providers from the homelessness, disability, mental health, family and domestic violence, and AOD sectors. Through this research, we hope to shape WA’s ongoing COVID-19 vaccination rollout, ensuring important community needs are taken into account by State and Federal Government.
