The Together Program: Evaluation of the Second Year

The Thousand Days Together Program (TTP) is a pilot program designed to improve safety for birthing women and prevent babies from being born into homelessness. The program is a collaboration between two leading organisations supporting people experiencing homelessness within Perth; Uniting WA, as a provider of housing and family related programs, and Homeless Healthcare, as a provider of health services (including GPs and nursing) for people experiencing homelessness. Working in collaboration, TTP provides housing, with integrated wrap around services including healthcare, to support women’s parenting, health, and wellbeing. To explore the extent to which TTP impacts the health and wellbeing of women with experiences of homelessness and their babies, this evaluation was co-designed alongside the project with involvement since TTP inception. This report details the supports and outcomes provided through TTP through the first two years of the program, as well as describing the level of need for programs supporting women experiencing homelessness within the Perth community.
